PRESS RELEASE - Sandy River Bluegrass
The FIRST SATURDAY after the First Friday in August - Glenn Otto Park (on the Sandy

Lovers of Bluegrass will be happy to know that a new bluegrass entertainment event will be
held at Glenn Otto Park located on the Sandy River. Bluegrass bands will perform on stage
at Glenn Otto Park. The lst set should finish around around 8:30 pm. Guest Entertainers
will be posted on the event web. A youth area is planned, PLUS, pickers are invited to
perform in and around the downtown establishments to round off a full day of bluegrass
festivities.
Admission will be a $10 donation at the gate (under 10 free), with all age groups being
welcomed. There will be no alcohol service in the park in keeping with the tradition of
Bluegrass being a clean, family friendly event (and to adhere to Troutdale's city park rules).
The park features trees, lawns, and kid friendly play structures. Sorry, the City of Troutdale
does not allow pets in Glenn Otto Park.
The fund raising event will benefit local water safety.
Ample parking is available within walking distance to the event, and camping is just a
stone's throw from the Park. Walk to downtown Troutdale in about 5 minutes. Tri-Met Bus
#77 serves the park.
Sponsorships and vendor spaces are available. We can always use an extra pair of hands
